Like the junction room outside, both silos were filled with water to just above the floor level, to an unknown depth beneath the platform; presumably there are hydraulic mechanisms submerged down there somewhere.

"ANTENNA SILO A/DANGER HIGH PRESSURE"
This was taken standing on the Antenna A loft platform, looking at the
rounded steel door into the silo.

Standing on the platform, looking up at the doors in the center
and the second story metal catwalk all the way around. The antenna silos
work as follows; The doors at the top can open and close as needed, and
the platform is lifted to the surface when they need to communicate with
the outside world. In the event of an attack, the antenna array is lowered
