The environment control room is filled with machines that run the air systems, water systems, and 4 diesel power generators each capable of generating 1 megawatt. It is a large, round room, two stories high, with sound baffling hanging from the ceiling and a large metal catwalk all the way around the outside, forming the second floor. Air duct passages lead off opposite sides of the catwalk. The first floor is also made of wire mesh, covering small pits.
